The Guyana Basketball Federation One Guyana Premier Basketball League continued on Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, with the Wortmanville Pacesetters, Meadowbrook Nets, and Stabroek Eagles winning.
In the first game of the night, Wortmanville Pacesetters, hoping to finish first in their table, managed to limit consecutive offensive attacks as they overcame the Kwakwani Unouchables by a dramatic 7 points, 70–63.
The Meadowbrook Nets trounced the winless Black Caimans by 29 points, 62–33, as they maintained control of the game and increased their chances of advancing to the playoffs, while the Caimans remain out of contention for playoff berths.
Undefeated Stabroek Eagles, who appear to be in serious title contention and have already secured playoff positions, upset Region Ten side Kings by a close 7-point margin, 59–52, as they managed to bag consecutive buckets.
Michael Richards led the Stabroek Eagles on the field with 14 points, while Zian Gray continued to flourish in his rookie season with 12 points, and Denzil Ross also had 12 points.
