Police in Regional Division #6 have arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery committed on Tuesday, August 9, 2025, at the home of Richard and Willeina Dhup of King Street, Dukestown, Corriverton, Berbice.

Reports indicate that around 8:20 p.m., three masked men—armed with a handgun and sharp weapons—confronted the couple while they were in their yard and forced them into the house. Once inside, the suspects ordered the victims to lie on the kitchen floor. One of the men held a firearm to Richard Dhup’s head while demanding money. During the ordeal, Willeina Dhup, 38, was stabbed in the back, sustaining injuries.

The bandits ransacked the home and escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash, gold jewelry, and electronics, valued at approximately G$2.7 million. Willeina Dhup was later treated at the No. 75 Hospital.

Following swift police action, two suspects were arrested early Wednesday morning, August 10, 2025. They have been identified as 31-year-old Kevin Padmore, called “Bulla,” of Dukestown, and 34-year-old Cordell Small, called “Mad Dawg,” of No. 77 Housing Scheme, Corriverton. Both men reportedly admitted to planning and carrying out the robbery along with a third accomplice known as “Moses.” They further claimed no firearm was involved, stating instead that a cutlass and knife were used.

Police are actively pursuing the third suspect as investigations continue.
