Aviation Sector Development Talks Led by Minister Indar
On Tuesday, Minister of Public Utilities and Aviation, Hon. Deodat Indar, convened a high-level meeting with key aviation stakeholders to advance President Dr. Irfaan Ali’s mandate for the development of Guyana’s aviation sector.
The discussions brought together management teams from Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) and Ogle Airport, the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), and private sector representatives.
Minister Indar was joined by Hon. Zulfikar Ally, Minister of Public Service, Government Efficiency and Implementation; Capt. Gerry Gouveia, National Security Advisor; Ramesh Ghir, CEO of CJIA; Lt. Col. (ret’d) Egbert Field, GCAA Director General; Javed Shadek, Chairman of the GCAA Board of Directors; and other senior leaders of the GCAA. Also participating were Capt. Gerry Gouveia Jr., President of the Private Sector Commission (PSC), and Alfonso De Armas.
The meeting focused on strategies to strengthen aviation infrastructure, enhance efficiency, and support sustainable growth within the sector.
