Ex-boyfriend threatens man’s life
A 27-year-old man is reporting that he was threatened with a firearm while accompanying his girlfriend at her workplace in Eccles on Tuesday.
The man stated that he was at a catering business with his girlfriend when, around 10:45 hrs, he observed what he described as a dirt bike or off-road motorcycle circling the block twice. He said the rider appeared to be looking into the guard hut, noting that the gate to the compound was not locked.
The man reported that he had answered his girlfriend’s phone since she had stepped out for a few minutes. He claimed that the caller used threatening language, asking what he was doing at the woman’s workplace.
The caller was identified as a man named Tevin, of African descent, who the complainant said is his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend. According to the report, the caller stated that he was outside the location in a red vehicle and subsequently sent images via phone.
One of the images show what appears to be an AK with the nozzle cut off. It also shows the same compound where the couple was at the time. The caller allegedly threatened to shoot the man.
It did not stop there. According to the man, Tevin was blocked but called later in the evening on a different number.
He remains cautious since he shares a 19-month-old child with his girlfriend.
