A video showing the motionless body and scattered brains of Jomal Bourne, who fatally shot himself in the head during a live broadcast on Sunday, January 18, 2026, has surfaced, leading people to now believe that he is indeed dead.

Bourne, also known as “Skinny”, was wanted by the Guyana Police Force (GPF) in connection with the murder of Akeem Hamer in September 2024.

In the live, Bourne was observed handling and brandishing a firearm while singing. He later removed the magazine from the weapon and pointed the gun at his head. He then pulled the trigger and collapsed as loud screams were heard in the background. The video abruptly ended shortly thereafter.

But where is the body and official report of his death? Only the people present with him during the fatal shooting have this knowledge.

The GPF, in a statement on Monday, said it is probing reports circulating on social media involving Bourne.

“The Force is aware of a video which circulated on social media and appears to show Bourne inflicting a suspected gunshot wound to himself during a Facebook Live broadcast on Sunday, January 18, 2026. During the broadcast, Bourne was also observed in the company of other individuals while allegedly displaying a cache of suspected firearms. The video has since been removed from the page on which it was originally posted

At this time, there is no official confirmation of his death, and no reports have been received in any of the 12 policing regions of Guyana regarding the incident,” the GPF said.

The Force added that they are treating the matter seriously and are making all necessary enquiries to verify the location of the video and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
