Contact Lost with Air Services Cessna in Mahdia; Search Efforts Underway

Authorities have lost contact with an Air Services Cessna aircraft, registration 8R-YAC, in Mahdia, Region Eight, the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has confirmed.Director General Egbert Field disclosed that the aircraft, which was being piloted by a foreign national attached to the airline, made its last communication earlier today. It remains unclear at this time whether there were any additional persons on board.Search and rescue teams have since been mobilised to locate the missing aircraft.
