A family of five is grappling with the aftermath of a devastating fire that completely engulfed their home on Monday afternoon.

Nazeema Shivmangal, 22, lived with her husband and three children, ages 3, 7, and 8, in a rented three-bedroom house at Lot 2 ‘D’ Fyrish Village, Region Six, along with her brother-in-law.

After picking up her two children from school, Shivmangal received the alarming news that their home was on fire and rushed to the scene.

The Rose Hall Town Fire Station was alerted, and firefighters responded. Divisional Fire Officer Clive McDonald confirmed that the fire was caused by electrical issues.

Shivmangal stated that her family lost all their belongings in the incident, but they are currently staying with relatives while they seek assistance to rebuild their lives.
