Guyana is mourning the passing of Don Singh, a respected member of the PPP/C party and politician who served as a Councillor on the Georgetown Mayor and City Council.
Singh, who was elected President of the historic Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) in January 2026, reportedly died after being hospitalized in recent days following an alleged stroke. Widely known for his contributions to local government and the cricketing community, Singh’s death marks a significant loss for both Georgetown’s civic leadership and one of the country’s oldest sporting institutions.
