Persons allocated house lots at South Extension, Bartica, Region Seven, are expected to gain access to their lands from mid-November, with a lot identification exercise scheduled to begin on November 12, 2026.

Housing Minister Collin Croal announced that surveyors from the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) will contact allottees in batches. During the exercise, each beneficiary will be taken to their allocated lot and shown its boundaries.

According to the Ministry of Housing, all persons allocated lands within the development are expected to be able to access their lots from mid-November.

Meanwhile, infrastructure works at the nearby Tract Bar housing development are approximately 60 per cent complete. Croal said the remaining works are being advanced with the aim of allowing allottees to access their lands by November 30, 2026.

However, the current stage of development does not yet allow for lot identification at Tract Bar.

Contractors are working across two project lots to complete concrete drainage, pipe networks and roads.

The Minister also identified the movement of quarry trucks through the housing scheme as an issue requiring attention, particularly as infrastructure works continue.

He said the Ministry will engage truck operators and the Council in the coming week to determine the most suitable route for vehicles travelling to and from the quarry.
