Nicholas Narine, a 28-year-old construction worker of Third Street, Agricola, Greater, Georgetown was fatally shot on Monday morning in what his family claims is a continuation of a weeks-long feud involving threats and gun violence.

The fatal shooting occurred at around 8:15 hours on Titus Street, behind Narine’s residence. According to police, Narine, also known as “Biggs,” was cleaning a drain near the suspect’s yard when he was ambushed and shot multiple times. He was later pronounced dead at the Diamond Hospital.

Police have since issued a wanted bulletin for Rafael Bollers, a 27-year-old unemployed man of Brutus Street, Agricola, who is currently on the run.

Investigators say Bollers and Narine were known to each other, and that he allegedly fired several shots from a handgun through a concrete fence before fleeing south with the weapon.

Narine sustained three gunshot wounds – one to the back, one to his upper right hand, and one to the right side of his abdomen. A single 9mm shell was recovered from the scene. The body has been transported to Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, pending a post-mortem examination.
Speaking with the media, Narine’s grieving relatives expressed frustration with what they describe as repeated failures by the police to intervene, despite earlier complaints about the same suspect.

“This guy shoot up my daughter’s house weeks ago. My 16-year-old grandson got shot in the leg while sleeping,” said Barry Narine, the victim’s father.

“We went to the station, made the report. They picked up the spent shells and promised to follow up – nobody came back.”

Barry said he was preparing to visit the police station again with his sister when he got the call that his son had been shot.

“By the time I reached the alley, they were bringing him out. He was already dead. I tried CPR, but the bullets tore up his whole side,” he recounted tearfully.

An aunt, whose name was not provided, alleged that the suspect had repeatedly threatened to kill members of the family and linked the ongoing feud to a personal dispute involving her sister and the suspect’s relatives.

“They riding up and down with guns, threatening us,” she said. “When Nicklous get shoot, he call out Raphael’s name.”

The family says they previously provided surveillance footage and the suspect’s name to the Ruimveldt Police Station, but claim no meaningful action was taken.

“We gave the police the name. They have the footage, but they never came back,” one relative said. “The same people walking round with guns like they run the village.”

They are now calling for a thorough investigation and the immediate arrest of the suspect.

Meanwhile, police say several persons have been questioned, and statements taken as efforts continue to locate Bollers and bring him into custody.

Narine was recently released from prison for robbing a Judge and her husband in 2015.
