A motorcyclist is now dead after he was involved in an accident along the Dun Robin, East Coast Berbice Public Road on Wednesday night.

Dead is Tameshwar Sukhcharan, 35, of Lot 678 Topoo Village, Corentyne, Berbice, who was a cattle ranger attached to the Albion Estate.

According to the information received, at approximately 18:00 hours, Tameshwar was riding his motorcycle, en route to work in East Canje, Berbice, when he was reportedly struck by a black vehicle. He was flung off his bike and ended up in a nearby trench.

The 35-year-old was picked up and taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver of the pickup was taken out of his vehicle and transported to the Hospital. It is unclear what injuries he sustained.

Tameshwar ‘s father, Rajesh Sukhcharan, told reporters that when he received the shocking news, he rushed to investigate immediately.

“Me see me son motorbike damage, it na good. You can just imagine what happened to that man. That man break up. He brain, foot, hand all break up,” the grieving father said in tears.
According to Rajesh, it appears to him that the pickup driver lost control of his vehicle, then struck his son before crashing into a parked truck.
Rajesh called on the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the accident so that justice can be served.

“It nah easy fuh lose a child.” Tameshwar was a father of two.
