Police ranks conducted a cordon and search exercise in the Guyhoc Squatting Area on Sunday morning, targeting several houses and individuals for stolen properties, illegal firearms, narcotics, and wanted people.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) reported that officers conducted a focused search at the home of 29-year-old labourer Kristoff Nicholson and 19-year-old St. Lucia national, Condoleezza Henry, both residents of the Guyhoc Squatting Area.
The pair are wanted in connection with a robbery under arms and attempted murder involving Claudius Fraser, 69, Operations Manager at Caliber Security Service.
During the search, police recovered one .32 revolver, one live .32 round, and one spent .32 shell concealed inside a speaker box within the residence.
When questioned, Henry admitted she did not possess a license to carry the firearm. She was informed of the offences, arrested, cautioned, and escorted to the East La Penitence Police Station along with the seized weapon and ammunition.
Henry remains in custody, while efforts continue to locate Nicholson. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
