Attempted murder and armed robbery charges dropped after $600,000 settlement
Indictable charges of attempted murder and robbery under arms were brought against 19-year-old St Lucian national Condoleezza Henry and her Guyanese co-accused, Kristoff Nicholas.
These charges were withdrawn and dismissed following a financial settlement with the victim.
The matter was called before Acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, where it was confirmed that both accused had paid the agreed compensation—$300,000 each—totaling $600,000.
Following the settlement, the prosecution withdrew the indictable offences, and the court formally dismissed them.
Henry and Nicholas remain before the court on several related charges arising from the same June 20, 2025, incident.
Henry faces possession of a firearm and ammunition without a licence, while Nicholas is charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition without a licence, and escape from lawful custody.
After submissions from defence attorneys, Acting Chief Magistrate McGusty granted bail of $75,000 per charge, totaling $150,000 for Henry and $225,000 for Nicholas.
The matters were adjourned to March 4, 2026, for continuation.
The charges relate to an armed robbery during which 69-year-old operations manager Claudius Fraser was shot in the chest.
Though discharged from hospital, the bullet remains lodged in his chest, requiring future surgical intervention.
