Keon Narine, a 23-year-old electrician from Agricola, Greater Georgetown, was remanded to prison following his court appearance on multiple firearm-related charges.
The charges relate to a violent incident on June 9, 2025, at a residence on Brutus Street, Agricola.
Narine, the brother of the late 28-year-old Nicholas “Biggs” Narine, who was recently murdered, is accused of firing shots at 60-year-old Gideon Bollers.
Bollers is the father of Raphael Bollers, the prime suspect in the murder of Nicholas.
Police reports indicate that Keon arrived at Bollers’ home on a motorcycle around 8:30 hours and discharged several rounds at the residence, striking the building multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Investigators recovered 18 spent 5.56mm shell casings at the location. During a search of Keon’s home, police discovered an AR-15 rifle along with five live 5.56mm rounds hidden in a bedroom.
Keon was arrested at the scene and brought to the Ruimveldt Police Station, where he allegedly admitted to firing at the Bollers’ home in retaliation for his brother’s death.
He also claimed that the firearm belonged to his late brother. At his arraignment before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, Keon pleaded not guilty to charges including discharging a firearm with intent to cause harm, unlawful possession of a firearm, and ammunition.
The prosecution opposed bail, highlighting that Keon was already out on bail for a similar offence in 2023.
Citing CCTV footage and a video confession, the court ruled against bail, citing risks of witness interference, and ordered Keon to be remanded until July 30, 2025.
Raphael is still at large. Earlier this year, Nicholas was released from prison after serving a lengthy sentence for a 2015 robbery involving a sitting High Court judge and her husband.
