EBD ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT — Public Works engages stakeholders.
The Ministry of Public Works met with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders at Friendship Secondary School to discuss upcoming works on Section A of the East Bank Demerara Road Improvement Project from Supply to Good Success.
The project begins in two weeks and includes utility relocation, drainage upgrades, bridge works, and shared-use footpaths. Construction will take place day and night, with one lane closed between 8 PM and 6 AM to facilitate night operations. Traffic management systems and Police support will be in place.
Minister Juan Edghill assured that the works will be carried out quickly and to high standards, with minimal disruption. Residents welcomed the improvements and called for strong oversight throughout the project.
Section A is part of the wider EBD Road Improvement Project extending to Timehri.
