Essequibo Labourer Granted $50,000 Bail on Simple Larceny Charge
A 34-year-old labourer of Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, has been charged with simple larceny following an alleged theft from a local businessman.
The accused, Alvin Tucker, is accused of stealing from Rakesh Samaroo, a 48-year-old businessman of Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast.
Tucker appeared before Magistrate Ravindra Mohabir at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, September 25, 2025, where the charge was read to him. He entered a not guilty plea.
Magistrate Mohabir granted bail in the sum of $50,000, with the condition that Tucker report to the Anna Regina Police Station every other Friday until the completion of the case.
The matter was adjourned to November 11, 2025.
