
A Corentyne family of three is in police custody after ranks unearthed an illegal firearm and ammunition during an operation at their Alness Village home on Friday.
According to the Guyana Police Force (GPF), law enforcement officers went to the home of a 56-year-old woman at Alness Village, Corentyne, Berbice and conducted a search.

During the search, ranks discovered a .38 revolver and seven matching rounds of ammunition concealed within the home.
The woman, her 66-year-old husband, and their 28-year-old son were cautioned and arrested at the scene. All three individuals remain in custody as the investigation continues.
