The prosecution on Friday confirmed that full disclosure has been completed in the extradition proceedings against Nazar Mohamed and his son, Azruddin.

With all documents now served, the matter will move to arguments on the constitutional issues previously raised by the defence.

Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman informed the parties that they will be given an opportunity on December 8 to present their submissions orally on the issues.

The court is expected to rule on those issues when the case returns on December 10.

The Mohameds—owners of Mohamed’s Enterprise—remain on $150,000 bail each as the matter progresses.

The father and son were sanctioned by the United States (U.S.) Government for alleged gold smuggling and corruption.

They have since been indicted in a U.S. court on 11 counts of financial crimes, including money laundering and wire and mail fraud.

The United States is seeking the extradition of Nazar and Azruddin to face criminal charges laid against them in a U.S. court.
