A woman identified only as Michelle is pleading with the public to help locate the family of a young boy she found abandoned early Monday morning.
Around 4:00 a.m., shortly after the conclusion of the Kurukuru Heritage festivities, Michelle said she was alerted by the sound of a child crying. Following the cries, she discovered the boy alone with no parent or guardian in sight. Acting out of concern, she took the child into her care, ensuring he was fed and kept clean.
Michelle reported the matter to the La Grange Police Station, but so far, no relatives have come forward. The child remains safely in her custody as they await intervention from welfare authorities.
