Fourteen Licensing and Certifying Officers of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), along with two representatives from the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS), are undergoing training in the installation of speed limiters.
The training is being held today, Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Officers’ Training Centre.
The participating police ranks, ranging from Inspector to Corporal, are being trained in the technical knowledge and practical procedures required to install the devices.
During the session, Aztec Global representative Ryan Allen briefed participants ahead of the practical component of the training.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening the technical capacity of Licensing and Certifying Officers while supporting the GPF’s efforts to improve road safety and ensure greater compliance with established traffic and vehicle standards.
