The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has sought to reassure the public that it has not abandoned one of its own after appeals for assistance began circulating on social media for Sergeant Leon Singh and his wife, who were both seriously injured in a recent accident.

In a statement, the Force said it has remained actively involved in supporting the couple since the incident through its Welfare Department, Regional Police Division #3, senior officers, and fellow ranks.

“Through the Welfare Department, Regional Police Division #3, senior officers and fellow ranks, every effort has been made to ensure that he and his wife receive the care, assistance and support available to them during this difficult period,” the GPF stated.
