A Lusignan woman, Annie Khemraj, has been taken into police custody after publicly accusing Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Deodat Indar, of involvement in the recent Regent Street bombing. Khemraj, identified as an activist associated with Azzrudin Mohamed’s We Invest Nationhood party, is expected to be charged soon.
According to reports, Khemraj was arrested shortly after leaving a hairdressing appointment.
The arrest followed a formal complaint made by Minister Indar on Wednesday. In a statement, he said he became aware of a Facebook video in which Khemraj made serious allegations linking him to the bombing incident.
See the below statement from Minister Indar:
Today I was made aware of a facebook post that is designed to tarnish my good name and reputation by someone carrying the name Annie Khemraj.
I dont know this person even exist before today.
Nevertheless I saw the video and heard its content and concluded that this is not a civil matter. It is criminal in nature and I decided to make an offical report against her to the Cyber Crime Division at the Police CID headquarters today.
Beyond an iota of fact, a made-up concoction of lies and fairytale that only a mad woman can conjur up. This was my first thought.
Then on further reviewing the trend of posts from this woman I also conluded; this is a crab dog , crab louse, ‘ battam house Krapo’ kind of behavior.
That she believes that she can step on people including me to make herself popular and relevant.
The matter she accused me of is terrorism , murder etc. Etc. Related to an active case under investigation by the Arm Forces of Guyana.
This woman think that her comments dont have consequences. Well it does and like every citizen, I also have rights and I will pursue them with vigor until Justice is served.
Let this also serve as a warning to those who think they can just type and talk on social media as they please harming me and my character especially those of recent in the Opposition Camp.
Dont tickle me !!!!
