Police in Regional Division 4 ‘B’ are investigating a fatal accident that occurred around 18:30 hrs on Sunday, November 16, 2025, along the Silver Hill Public Road on the Soesdyke–Linden Highway.

The crash claimed the lives of two persons: Deron Bobb, a female whose age and address remain unknown, and Wayne Clarke, 51, of Grove Village, East Bank Demerara.

According to initial investigations, Motor Car PHH 1632, driven by a 28-year-old man of Grove Village, was travelling south when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car veered into the western lane and collided head-on with Motor Car PAG 1280, driven by a 22-year-old woman from Moblissa on the Soesdyke–Linden Highway. Two juveniles, aged 6 and 2, who are also from Moblissa, were passengers in that vehicle.

The impact caused Motor Car PHH 1632 to overturn, throwing its occupants onto the roadway. Emergency Medical Technicians pronounced Bobb and Clarke dead at the scene. The driver of PHH 1632 sustained severe injuries and is hospitalized in critical condition at the Linden Hospital Complex.

The driver and occupants of PAG 1280 were also injured and transported to the same hospital for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where post-mortem examinations are pending.

Police investigations are ongoing.
