Labour Ministry Secures Agreement Between BOSAI Workers and NAACIE

The Ministry of Labour has successfully brokered an agreement between BOSAI workers in Linden and their union, NAACIE, bringing an end to last week’s strike and clearing the way for full resumption of operations.

Conciliation talks chaired by Chief Labour Officer Dhaneshwar Deonarine began on Monday morning and wrapped up after several hours of negotiations. By afternoon, the parties signed off on a settlement that includes a 7.5% wage increase for 2025 and an 8% across-the-board raise for 2026, along with other agreed benefits.

NAACIE General Secretary Dawchan Nagasar confirmed the outcome following the session. “We have reached an agreement of 7.5% for this year and 8% across the board for next year, in addition to some other benefits. This is the final arrangement that all parties have signed off on,” he said.

The Ministry described the resolution as a clear example of constructive dialogue working in the interest of both workers and the company, noting that its immediate intervention last week led to the Terms of Resumption and the quick return to conciliation.

With the new agreement signed, workers have since resumed duties, while NAACIE has pledged to monitor the implementation of the terms to ensure commitments are honored.
