Two sisters, aged 12 and 15, who were reported missing from Glasgow Housing Scheme, Sisters Village, East Berbice, have been found by police on the Essequibo Coast.
The girls were discovered around 20:00 hours on Thursday, during a mobile patrol by police officers at the Supenaam waterfront in Region Two.
According to the police, the sisters were found resting in a hammock at the location. They informed the officers that they had travelled from Sisters Village to Parika, from where they took a speedboat to the Essequibo Coast in search of an individual.
Police are working to contact the person the girls mentioned. The mother of the missing children has been notified, and arrangements have been made for their safe return home.
