More than 1,600 residential lots have been allocated at the Wismar Phase One New Housing Development in Region 10, where the Ministry of Housing has begun assisting allottees with identifying their plots.
The lot identification exercise started on Wednesday and continued on Thursday, with the first batch of allottees being taken to their respective plots under the guidance of the ministry’s surveyors. The exercise is expected to conclude on Friday.
The government is investing approximately $5.5 billion in infrastructure works at the housing development. Phases One and Two span approximately 355 acres, with areas also set aside for recreational facilities, a police outpost and other amenities.
According to the ministry, a second batch of allottees will be contacted once their plots become accessible.
Allottees who have identified their lots are also being encouraged to check their properties regularly. The ministry said this could help prevent encroachment and cases where persons mistakenly begin construction on the wrong lot.
