Over $3M Worth of Cannabis Destroyed in Berbice Eradication Exercise
The Guyana Police Force’s Narcotics Branch on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) conducted a narcotics eradication exercise along the Wiruni Creek, Upper Berbice River, which led to the destruction of cannabis valued at more than $3.3 million.
Between 16:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs, police discovered a three-acre plot containing approximately 10,000 cannabis plants, ranging from two to five feet in height. The plants were subsequently destroyed by fire.
