Police in Regional Division #2 on Monday, February 9, 2026, carried out an operation at a residence in Tapakuma, Essequibo Coast, as part of an ongoing investigation.
The operation, which was conducted between 11:15 hrs and 11:45 hrs, resulted in the discovery of several items, including a black bulletproof vest, a pair of handcuffs, a pair of foot shackles, and a metal cap badge belonging to the Guyana Police Force.
A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the location and placed into police custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
Police have indicated that investigations into the matter are continuing.
