Region Two officials visit Adventure Sands to tackle land disputes

In a continued effort to address longstanding land concerns, Regional Vice Chairman Humace Oodit and Prime Minister’s Regional Representative Arnold Adams led an official site visit to Adventure Sands.
They were accompanied by a team of technical officers, including surveyors from the Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission (GLSC).
The visit aimed to examine and resolve persistent boundary disputes that have affected residents and landowners in the area for some time.

On-site assessments were conducted by the GLSC surveyors to verify land demarcations and gather accurate data to guide next steps.
Oodit and Adams engaged directly with residents and stakeholders, listening to their concerns and reaffirming the government’s commitment to fair and transparent land management.
They emphasised the importance of collaboration between local authorities and national agencies in finding lasting solutions to land-related issues.
The GLSC will coordinate follow-up actions in partnership with regional officials.
