Businessmen Azruddin Mohamed and his father, Nazar Mohamed, have been indicted in a Florida court on a total of 11 charges, including wire fraud, gold smuggling, and money laundering.

The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where each charge carries a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Both men were previously sanctioned in 2024 by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for alleged involvement in corrupt practices and illicit financial activities.
