A student from Skeldon Primary School has excelled by topping Region Six in this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).
Adore Barnwell, an impressive 11-year-old, secured 486.06 marks and earned a place at Queen’s College.
“I feel ecstatic and proud,” Adore shared with Sheriff News Network, adding that her outstanding performance came as no surprise to her.
She dedicated considerable time to studying past exam papers and creating concise notes, which enabled her to approach the examinations with confidence and ease.
The aspiring Lawyer expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her parents, teachers, and everyone else who contributed to her achievement.
In the second position for Region Six is 11-year-old David Hariprashad from Cropper Primary School, who scored 485.18 marks.

David feels a deep sense of pride upon learning about his accomplishment. He said his performance was not surprising, as he had expected to perform well.
He made necessary sacrifices, including late-night study sessions and watching NGSA booster videos, which he credits for his success.
For David, the exams presented little challenge. While he won’t be attending Queen’s College, he is excited to head to Berbice High School.
“I would like to thank my parents, teachers and God for helping me,” he expressed.
Other students in Region Six have demonstrated remarkable success and secured their positions among the top ten in the region.
