Teen dies in early morning accident
Colwyn Sealey, 18, who was involved in an accident, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, according to relatives.
Sheriff News Network was told that around 4 AM, on Sunday, motorcar PAE 4628, driven by Sealey, with occupant Jaden Edward, 15, both from Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara was speeding east on the northern side of the Bath Settlement Public Road when he veered onto the southern side, hit a road plow, then collided with a parked lorry, flipped about ten feet, and eventually crashed into a fence before the vehicle came to a halt.
Both the driver and the 15-year-old were rushed by public-spirited citizens to Bath Regional Hospital. Edward was treated for lacerations and was placed under observation. Sealey, who suffered from head injuries, was in a critical condition. He succumbed on Tuesday.
