UK Firm Hunting Awarded US$20M Contract to Support Deepwater Drilling Off Guyana
UK-based energy services company Hunting PLC has begun delivering oil country tubular goods (OCTG) accessories to support deepwater oil drilling in Guyana, under a contract valued at approximately US$20 million.
The contract, secured earlier in 2025 through a “global oilfield service company”, is tied to operations in the Stabroek Block, one of Guyana’s largest and most active offshore basins. Hunting will supply high-specification OCTG accessories engineered to withstand the extreme pressures and environmental conditions typical of deepwater well completions.

These accessories play a critical role in maintaining structural integrity in wells, ensuring safety and reliability under harsh offshore conditions. Hunting’s Managing Director for North America, Scott George, said the deal reflects confidence in the company’s technology and its ability to deliver solutions “at scale in the toughest deepwater environments.”

In addition, Hunting has recently completed a separate project worth US$52.5 million under its Subsea Technologies division, supplying titanium stress joints (TSJs) for riser systems in the Uaru Field, another development under ExxonMobil’s umbrella.
