More than six weeks have passed since 15-year-old Eilona Dequoy vanished without a trace, and her mother, Hollian Adrian, says she is growing increasingly distressed as efforts to locate the teenager have yielded no results.
Eilona, a student of Yarrowkabra Secondary School, was last seen on the morning of Friday, April 4. According to Adrian, her daughter left home as usual and was dropped off at school by a private driver around 9:00 hrs.
However, when the driver returned that afternoon to pick her up, Eilona was nowhere to be found.
“It was a normal day. She had breakfast, got her lunch, and left for school. There was no sign [that] anything was wrong,” Adrian recalled.

Later that day, school officials confirmed that Eilona had not been marked present. Reports indicate she was seen crossing the road to a nearby snackette shortly after arriving at school. She has not been seen since.
Adrian said she reported her daughter missing to the Yarrowkabra Police Outpost that same evening, but was left frustrated by the initial response.
“I kept following up, but nothing was really done. They didn’t take down a proper report at first,” she said.
It was only weeks later, after visiting the Diamond Police Station, that her full statement was finally taken.
“What’s hard is the silence. I haven’t seen a missing persons bulletin or any public alert. They said they shared her photo, but I haven’t seen anything out there,” Adrian added.
One puzzling detail, the family says, is that Eilona reportedly handed over her mobile phone to the driver that morning, leaving her without a way to communicate or be tracked.
Adrian, a mother of seven, described her parenting as firm but fair.
“We set rules to keep them safe. Maybe she found them too strict, but we’ve always tried to guide her, not harm her,” she said.
When asked if there were any known problems at home, Adrian said there were no signs of trouble.
“We talked with her regularly. We tried to steer her right. There were no problems that morning. Everything seemed fine.”
Now, Adrian is making a desperate plea to the public for help in finding her daughter.
“If she’s out there, I just want her to know she’s not in any trouble. We just want her home.”
Eilona is described as being of medium height and slim build. She was last seen wearing her school uniform.
