Tyreek Jagnandan, a 24-year-old Taxi Driver from Enmore, East Coast Demerara, was charged today (10th September 2025) for the offence of Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking (3.75 lbs of Gummies infused with Cannabis).
The charge was laid under Section 5(1)(a)(i) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act, Chapter 10:10.
He appeared at the Georgetown Magistrateβs Court this morning before Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty, where the charge was read to him. The defendant pleaded not guilty. Bail was granted in the sum of $50,000. The matter was adjourned to 24th September 2025 for disclosure.
