Orthopedic Technician Remanded on Cybercrime Charge

A 20-year-old orthopedic technician was on Monday remanded to prison after being charged under the Cyber Crime Act of 2018 for allegedly transmitting an intimate image of a woman without her consent.

The accused, Treveir Sinclair, known as Tratts, of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, is employed at the Georgetown Public Hospital. He was arrested on September 10, 2025, by ranks from the Alberttown Police Station and later charged for “Transmitting of a private area of a person” in violation of Section 16(2)(a) of the Act. The alleged offence was reportedly committed against Lolita Callender, popularly known as Lola Doll.

Sinclair appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court #3, where the charge was read to him. He entered a plea of not guilty and was subsequently remanded to prison.

The matter was adjourned to October 6, 2025, for the presentation of statements.
