Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has shared a message of gratitude, faith and hope with his supporters, describing a collection of photographs as a “small gift of love and hope” for his grandchildren, Venezuelan families and those who continue to stand with him.
In the message, Maduro thanked what he described as the “noble people who love us,” saying their support has been transformed into prayers, solidarity and continued action.
“I want them to know that we are strong, with hearts full of your love,” Maduro said, expressing gratitude for every word, gesture and blessing offered by his supporters.
Maduro said he and his wife, Cilia Flores, were sending their embrace to supporters and reaffirmed their faith in God.
“Enjoy this small gift with joy and hope,” he wrote. “We will continue strong, serene and confident: God is with us. God will provide. Venezuela will be reborn.”
He also referenced the Bible, quoting the Apostle Paul from Romans 8:37: “But in all these things we have a great victory, thanks to the one who loved us.”
The message comes against the backdrop of Venezuela’s prolonged political and economic crisis, marked by intense political divisions, international pressure and disputes over the legitimacy of the country’s leadership.
Maduro has remained a deeply polarising figure in Venezuela and internationally. His government has faced criticism over democratic institutions, human rights and elections, while his supporters maintain that Venezuela is defending its sovereignty against foreign interference.
The country has also endured years of economic hardship, including hyperinflation, shortages and mass migration, although the government has pointed in recent years to signs of economic recovery and increased stability.
Despite the challenges, Maduro’s latest message adopts a notably personal and spiritual tone, focusing less on politics and more on family, faith and gratitude to those who continue to support him.
His closing declaration — “Venezuela will be reborn” — reflects his continued message of resilience and confidence in the country’s future.
