Minister of Public Works, Bishop Juan Edghill, yesterday accompanied Minister of Natural Resources, Vickram Bharrat, alongside technical teams from both ministries, on a joint field visit to inspect ongoing construction and receive a firsthand progress update on the new bridge being built at Puruni.
The high-level site visit was also attended by the Regional Executive Officer of Region Seven, accompanied by other key regional officials, highlighting a collaborative approach to regional infrastructure development.
Once completed, the new Puruni Bridge is set to transform the lives of thousands of Guyanese by providing enhanced connectivity and seamless access across the region.
The vital, modern infrastructure will deliver substantial economic benefits, significantly easing transit operations for gold miners, forestry workers, and all stakeholders engaged in the country's natural resource sectors.
