The Government has expressed outrage and launched an urgent investigation after it was confirmed that several individuals rescued from the MV Barima were not included on the vessel’s official passenger manifest.
The MV Barima departed Georgetown for Port Kaituma at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Authorities are now investigating how unmanifested passengers came to be aboard the vessel.
